392 entries for this category: Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? From my own point of view, the physical and emotional pains were for mankind in general to actually see, feel the impact of His suffering and to truly understand that He came to serve mankind and not to be served. Jesus is the mediator or acts like a link between God and man. Spiritual separation would have meant separating us (man) from God and at the same time leaving his mission of coming here on earth unaccomplished because He came that we may have life and have it in abundance.

In what way is Jesus still with us always? How can we be assured of Hi s presence? According to Scriptures Jesus has been given all authority in Heaven and on earth.So He gave this authorithy to His Disciples to go everywhere and make people His Disciples baptising them in the name of the Father ,the Son and the Spirit.This shows He is still with us especially because He has chosen amongst us people who represent His Disciples here on Earth.This people are carrying out what He had told the disciples to do.So when we beleive and are baptised,we are sure that He is with us.When we pray and try to live a roghtuoes life we are rest assured that He is present with us.He himself promised that He will be with us till the end of time.

What about Jesus` death impressed the Centurian so much that He realized Jesus was the Son of God? What interested the Centurian so much was when the veil of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom,the earth quaked and the rocks were split,the tombs were opened and many bodies of the Saints who had fallen asleep were raised.
