392 entries for this category: I think those who passed by mocked Jesus because they were just multitude who reacted to situations just because they see others doing.Even Jesus Himself once made them to understand that they are just following Him because He had given them bread to eat.They did not really understand who Jesus was. Why did those who passed by mock Jesus?

Why did the soldiers mock Jesus? In the teachings of Jesus,He proved Himself as the Son of God and a Messaih.He stood His grounds in the works He was sent to proclaim.And made known to the Jewish people who misunderstood Him and wanted to kill Him.Since they had no reason for killing Him they accused Him falsely by making the King feel that his position was shaken.When Jesus was questioned they foolishly thought that He was to answer and maybe try to justify Himself.When He did not answer the question I think that the soldiers saw Him as a coward and so decided to mock Him as they knew that He could not fight back.

Why did the multitude want Barabbas released rather than Jesus? For the multitude,Jesus' teaching was too hard.They saw in Jesus one who was to disturb to live a life which to them restricted them from being corrupt.So the prefered to release Barabars for they thought that that was going to be the end of Jesus'teachings against their corrupt ways of living.It was to fullfil the Prophecy that He was to suffer and die on the cross to save mankind.
