392 entries for this category: Ofcourse. Jesus believed that lowly people are valuable.Lowliness is synonymous to humility and oppose to pride, not the affliction or predicament. The Bible says that God resists the proud and loves the humble. The epitome of God is love and this is the fundamental reason for sending Jesus to the world to save those, who in their humility will be petinent enough to realize their wrong doing and repent of it to be saved. Those who criticized Jesus for mingling with the lowly were blinded and ignorant in their pride thus misunderstanding the reason behind the coming of Jesus into the world through God's love. Accepting Christ is accepting God who is LOVE. Only then can salvation take place and this highly valuable for Christ's coming and life in eternity. After studying the lesson, I can define Compassion as,"deep concern". Jesus shows deep concern to victims of the various challenges encountered. It would appear that had Jesus toured the world, everybody would have atleast presented one challenge for a miracle to take place. The deep concern of Jesus enables him to change the statusquo and also leads Him to the extend of crying for his friend. His pronouncements also should be of deep concern to humanity. The multitudes that followed Him were ignorant and less serious to carry even something to eat...they were like sheep just following without a shepherd. they would not take initiative hence needed more workers to preach and teach God's Word to them. The blind men prescribed what they would have done to themslves by a mustard seed amount of faith since they knew within them that they could see.Jesus did just what they believed only Him could and would do.He also did same to the leper willingly, likewise to this woman of the dead person, all to the admiration of the multitudes. All the time that Mary's brother was alive, they all knew a lot that Jesus was capable of doing but never paid attention to what Jesus expected them to learn of His coming, so as to be able to act in His absence...that's why Jesus delayed in His coming when He heard that His friend was sick....if someone exercise faith in the face of the challenge of the devil, he expected...there was none. Everyone needed just Him to do it thus implying ignorance(of the lessons) of the authority of the power in the Word of God or in the Name of Jesus over satan . Jesus wept and the multitude had just the worldly understanding why He wept...like the usual weeping at funerals. Jesus summarises it all when He wept over His own people "Jerusalem", "If you (humanity created in God's image) had known in this day, even you(my own people who do not recognise their own Prophet) the things(the authority of the Word of God and the Power in My Name) which make for peace(fight these challenges of satan)! But now they have been hidden from your eyes(ignorance). For the days shall come upon you(as you are seeing now through the miracles) when the enemies(satan and his demons) will throw up a bank(challenges) before you, and sorround you, and hem you on every side and level you (destroy completely and burry) you to the ground and your children within you(generational curse)....... (Why should I not have deep concern and even weep to open your eyes so that you can wake up from sleep and use the oppotunities given to you as images of God)?Jesus must have thought "God forbid it" that my eyes should remain closed and I die in ignorance rather than making use of the authority in the Word of God and the Power of the Name of Jesus when satan and his demons come challenging.Thank God for the Lesson
