Jesus told the rich man to sell all his prroperty before following Him propably because the man proved to Jesus that he was so rithgeous thus boasting that he could keep all the commandment.And when he says what else do I like it seems as if the man is challenging God to say that he the man is perfect eventhough all have sin and come short of God's Glory.So to disprove him that he still has some lapses in his life,Jesus had to ask him to sell all his possessions before coming after him.Unfortunate he fell into Jesus trap.

Why is it so important to God that we forgive others when they sin against us? God Himself always listens and forgives us each time we say we are sorry.He did this by givimg up His Son to die on the cross so that we can be saved from our sins.In the same way He expects us to forgive others.

Why is it helpful to confront a brother alone first, before involving others in confronting him? It is helpful to confront a brother alone first because at times people sin out of ignorance and might not know that what they are doing is wrong.As such if one has to bring it to others first it might be embarrassing thus might make little things big for nothing.
