Why did Jesus take just Peter, James and John with Him to witness his transfiguration? Given the fact that there was nothing Christ did without first praying to His Father,I would like to say that He took these three disciples with Him according to His Fathers will.For Jesus on many occassions has made it clear to us that He came to do His Fathers Will.

Why didn`t Jesus want his disciples to tell others that He was the Christ? Jesus did not want His disciples to tell others that He was the Christ,because He wanted everyone to experience the power of the Holy Spirit as He puts it that only the Holy Spirit can let one to understand who really He is.
