Humanbeings are concerned with what MAN HAS DONE WRONG and not WHAT MAN CAN BECOME . A paralytic disease was attributed to sins and thus the distinction between the upright and the sinners; 'OUTCAST '. but Christ makes clear the interest of God to man ' REPENTANCE ' by this action of forgivenes of sins .

here there is a clear distinction between the purpose of God in our lives which is SALVATION FOR ALL .

Why did Jesus first forgive the paralytic`s sins, and only later heal him? What lesson was he trying to communicate?

Firstly,Jesus is God.The Scriptures tells us that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and Jesus had come to do away with our sins.If we have faith and show some sincerity then He will forgive us.Also Jesus has been given all the authority to forgive sins and He is a merciful and compassionate God.With all this reasons Jesus had to forgive the paralytic and heal him later.He was trying to let the people know that He had authority over everything and that they should beleive that He was the son of God and God Himself.

Why did the people ask Jesus to leave, even after He delivered the two demon-possessed men?

The people asked Jesus to leave because they were non beleivers.They did not understand who Jesus was and what He had just done.They trusted so much in their material that they thought Jesus was causing more harm to them than good.
