Why do you think Pilate gave Jesus the title "King of the Jews"? I think Pilate gave Jeus this title first because he was made to understand from Jesus opponents that Jesus declared that He was king so for Pilate this was a mockery.Secondly, his wife had aterrible dream and somehow in his heart he was afraid so he pronounced this it maybe to gain some little favour with Jesus given Jesus was really the King of the Jews.
