Joseph from the town of Arimathaea was a wealthy Jewish religious leader. What risk did he take and why was he willing to do this? Note: Isaiah 53:9 - "And they made His grave with the wicked, But with the rich at His death."

Joeseph took the risk of boldly going to Pilate to ask for Jesus body.He was willing to do this because it was the Preparation that is the day before the Sabbath.

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."

Jesus was thinking about His great reward in Heaven and that gave Him much courage.

The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?

Most often than not people try to gain popularity,out of shame,because of pride,and becuase they are blinded with what they at the present time of the incident.
