Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"?

This is a clear point of the name we CHRISTIANS are having CHRIST'S LIKE. If whom you' re following can loose His life for you just to save you. And He died be/cos of the word He left with us. And charge you to give also your life for it as He did and you know that He woned the crown of Glory after death why can't I do likewise, therefore, let our goal be the same goal with our shephard for if not what is the need puting on the name CHRISTIANS.

What is "the Christ"? How is it different than one of the prophets?

The word "CHRIST" means God in the formation of man,Wonderful Counselor,Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The prophets are those who prophetised about the comming of the Son of Man.Jesus is not prophet despite some prophetic words He released when He was on earth.In conclussion, There is no way to compare my Jesus with the ancients prophets for HE IS GOD HIMSELF.

Why do you think Jesus brought the man outside the village before performing the miracle?

This acts of Jesus was only to escape and as well safe guide His life for the work of His Father. For the pharesses and herodians are looking after to kill Him before His time,and to avoid people taking His name out as a magician.
