418 entries for this category: The "enternal life" Jesus offers is spirptual and it continues even beyond this life and doesn't come into judgment but has passed out of death into life. Whilst the "ordinary life" people live is only here on earth and when death comes the body returns back to ashes and their spirit to the resurrection of judgment. If the world hates those who testify that its works are evil, why didn`t Jesus deemphasize this portion of His message? Jesus did not deemphasize this portion of His message, because His time had not yet come for Him to deemphasize His works. So He goes about doing His father's wil secretly.

Why did Jesus tell the man to take up the mat and walk, even though Jesus knew this violated what the Jews permitted on the Sabbath? Jesus was not under the law of the Jews, nor was He ignorant of the Sabbath, but He was here to do the will of the Father. He was not to be conformed to the laws of this world but, teach the people that God is God even on the Sabbath, and that it is good to do good even on the Sabbath.
