Bonus question: Why was the veil torn in two? "The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two" The veil of the temple was torn in two to give us free access to God, that we do not need any prist to take our problems to God anymore, we can do that ourselves. Jesus has broken down the middle wall, He has bridged the gap and we are free to go before the throne of grace to optain marcy in time of trouble.

When Jesus "breathed his last" and was pronounced dead; why did The Roman centurion glorify god? When the Roman centurion had Jesus saying all what He said on the cross, forgivening all and even those who crucified him and saying it is finish, and "breathed His last" the centurion now realise that truly believe that Jesus is the son of God.
