Jesus was teaching them that with the power He has given to them, they will be able to cure any disease, heal the sick, cast out demons and do a lot more even, if they believe and most importantly, that they do not need to take anything with them becourse He (Jesus) will provide for their every need as they go around preaching the good news of salvation and bringing the kingdom of God to man. That they should also remember that its not everyone who hears it, will believe or follow it, for those, He said they should just wash their feet and know that they have done their part.
