Why did Jesus instruct his followers to react passively when attacked? Jesus came into this world so that peace may come to rule.it was for that reason that he went to the for us.Now for this peace to continue,we as his fellowers should learn to leave according his footsteps.According to the scripture our fight is not against persons we see but againts powers using these people.Our passive reaction to attacks will put devil and its agents to shame.IT is for this reason that Jesus gave us the instruction to always react passively.

Why is it Jesus speaks so strongly against divorce and remarriage? In the first place, marriage is an institution ordained by God.A sealed convenant in which the two parties comes together and agreed to live as one.They stand before the body of christ and agreed to live for better,for worse till death separate them.It is like going into a convenant with God,so any break or act of divorce or remarriage will amount to breaking of a convenant.So any other thing done outside this will be counted as sin.that is why Jesus speaks strongly against it.
