What made Peter so afraid to be identified with Jesus? Why are many people today still afraid to identify with Jesus? Peter was afraid that he would be prosecuted like Jesus so he denied his association with him and that is because peter after he saw that his lord was about killed then peter was full of fear and the results of fear is sin.and now days many people are fraid to to be identify with jesus because todays world is asking the christian whether we are real or not.

Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? Peter was talking from the flesh forgeting that we cannot rely on ourselves for redemption. He thought he could do things on his own, that is by his own strength. John 15: 5... for apart from me nothing can be done.
