418 entries for this category: I believe that deep down inside Pilate, he knew who Jesus was and believe that Jesus was indeed the son of God, and also because of the dream that his wife had. Jesus went willing with thme so that the word of God (by the Prophets) will be fulfil. For this purpose the Son-of-God came into the world to die a shamful death for our sin, by He who knows no sin and was sinless, that we might have life and have it more aboundantly. Why do you think Pilate gave Jesus the title "King of the Jews"?
He wanted to honour Jesus and take no part in His death, so therefore, he gave him the titlt "King of the Jews" without really understanding that Jesus is the King of Kings , in heaven and on earth, below the earth and under the earth, Jesus is Lord.

Why do you think Peter denied Jesus? Peter had to denied knowing Jesus so that scripture would be fulfil. He was afraid and did not know what they would do to him if they found out that he was also with Jesus, but those feeling of his were there for him to denied Christ and the scripture be fulfil.
