Why did Jesus heal by touching the man with leprosy (a contageous disease)? Jesus touched the man and healed him of his leprosy to show that He loved the sick; even the contageous one.

Why did Jesus heal by touching the man with leprosy (a contageous disease)? He demonstrated that sicknesses and diseases had no power over him. Especially leprosy which was considered contagious in those days and the end result is that anyone suffering from this sickness automatically becomes an outcast.
