Why is this old man Simeon so excited to meet this baby Jesus? The birth of the Messiah had already been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit so he was excited that the prophecy had at last come to pass and then he can now die in peace.

What was Mary feeling right before Jesus´ birth? Note: She is described here as an unwed pregnant woman, who was forced to travel away from her family, only to deliver her baby in a barn? The world had put on Mary the tag of shame. She felt snubbed by her peers and the powers that be at the time.But I believe she had her TRUST in the One she had come to believe.She felt protected by the promises of the angle sent by God to her that the Holy Spirit would be with her.
