Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1.
Jesus suffered for our sins as a result God turned his back on him.  He felt so alone and this showed his human side.  He needed the Father so much that he had to call out for his support.

Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many." Isaiah 53 contains many more matches to events in Jesus` life.

It is significant because of our sins.  We need to be reconciled to God through his torture and death.
