Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? peter is only human and human beings are not to be trusted and jesus knew about this and this was another way for him to show them how powerful he was,this means he wanted them to know that he knows their heart and mind

Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? Peter loved Jesus so much that he couldn't think of any reason why he should deny Jesus and was ready to die for him but being human he forgot all that transpired between him and Jesus when he saw what was happening to him and denied Jesus. Peter should have known better. i
