What are the characteristics that allow you to recognize that someone is one with the Father and with Jesus?

When one is poor in spirit, holy, pure heart and possesses the fruit of the spirit, ie. kind, long suffering, torelant, merciful, not giving into the works of the flesh, loving, compassionate, sharing, caring, helping others and preaching the word of God.

What are the characteristics that allow you to recognize that someone is one with the Father and with Jesus?

When reading this question and the answers of others. One couple from my church jumped out in my mind that has the characteristics that are being described.

Gentleness, Friendliness, Love of life, Contentment, Serving of others, Peace within themselves. When a person meets this couple it is immediately evident that they are truly happy with life itself after getting to know them that is when a person finds out how much God is with them in their daily life.

Jesus sends his disciples into the world for what purpose?

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to the world to preach the word of God, save mankind from sin etc. Jesus knowing very well that from the cross he was going back to his father gave his disciples the great commission to in turn go out into the world to continue with the work of the Father by preaching the word to the world and in turn win more souls for the kingdom.
