1513 entries for this category: Why did Jesus delay for two days before going to see Lazarus? Jesus knew that Lazarus was asleep but not dead. He knew that he could wake him up, therefore, by delaying for two days he wanted his followers and disciples to believe that he had power over death, that with God nothing is impossible and that he could restore any dead thing back to life. Secondly, he wanted the glory of God to be made manifest.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment? By showing us love and letting us know that Love is all and all is love. If you know him then you love him. If you love him you wowuldnt want to hurt him and you would do as he says (obedience).
