How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

Obedience is love. If you are in love with somebody you will obey that person. Jesus has assured us of the benefits we derive through obedience to the word. When we hear his voice and hearken to him he will dwell in us, dine with us, bear our problems and be our problem solver when we call upon him through prayer and that is intimacy. When God realises that we obey His son whom he adores so much, which implies that we love him, He will in turn pour out His love on us and accept us as His children.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

First of all, I will feel humbled that a sinner like me is having a one-on-one meal with Jesus and that I don't deserve it but because I know of His undying love for me I will discuss with him to help me love him back the more and that the narrow path is not easy but He should strengthen my faith in Him so that I will not stop the journey half way.

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

In my view,he calls this a new commandment simply because in His word,He makes clear that 'He' has not given us the spirit of fear but of power,of love and of a sound mind.Thus if this power is manifested in us then we ought to do everything in love(emphasize mine).therefore if this is a new commandent,praise God.Also,His acc eptance to come down and to die for our sins should remind us that He did this with so great a love beyond Human imagination.
