What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. Jesus implys that his blood is new coveneant that replaces the blood of the lamb that the Jewish used but ths blood wash away the sin of the world.
