Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. The tearing of the curtainof the temple into two signifies the 'break up' of the old and new covenant. The blood of animals were used in the atonement of sins in the old covenant but it couldn't permanently wash away the sins of the world. The blood of Jesus( God in human form) truly took away permanently the sins of the world. It was for many and not all because Jesus made full payment of our sins but it is left to us to accept the offered grace by accepting Him as our Lord and saviour.

Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor? Jesus knew his time was up and as for the poors they are with them and they can help them anytime they want

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? Because if we keep focusing we will not be discourage of the things that we are doing and we will not miss our way.
