Given the scandals associated with the women Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and the wife of Uriah (Bathsheba), why do you think they were mentioned in the geneology of Jesus? They were mentioned because after all these scandals they had received salvation and became women of faith. It also goes to show that Jesus actually did not come for the righteous but sinners to repentance.
