Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him? He knew that the can carried the cross,as christian we have to pray without cease.

In what ways does the physical healings performed by Jesus in the path parallel the spiritual healings he performs on people today? Matt 8:17b "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases." This saying is as true today as it was in Jesus time. It is the Spirit of the Lord that works today to perform healing on people. During Jesus time he was with the people and he said himself he has to go before the Holy Spirit will come. So that is what is happening now. The Spirit is here with us and healing all who are sick and demon possessed.
