When Jesus greeted His Disciple with peace, that is exactly what He wanted for them. Most often, humanbeings turn to fear when we see anything strange. Jesus' appearance may automatically put fear in the disciples, so He reasure them through His greetings, that He was the One, there is no cause for fear. They should remain calm. Jesus wish above all things that we all have peace on this earth, but some people will not allow peace to prevail. He is prince of peace, a giver of peace. The greetings mean exactly what He said. "peace be unto you all on earth"
