Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Even though Love one another is in the ten commandments Jesus now says it is a New commandemnt. This is because Jesus himself came to do away with the old things. Before when the law advocated an eye for an eye, but now Jesus says we should love one another putting away this doctrine. In Mat 13:34 A new commandment because by loving one another we wil be doing what Jesus himself came to do and as he himself said by that others would know that we are his disciples.
