Jesus had compassion for the people because he knew that they had no helper. Compassion also means leaving everything to help others, either by feeding or any financial support. Yes Jesus believes that lowly people are valuable. This is very clear in the lesson notes I just read. He even value children. No matter your status in life Jesus values you What lessons did the disciples learn as a result of encountering Jesus in the middle of the lake? They even knew that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He can do anything,walking on the water,i think He is telling us that when we have Trust,Faith and obedience we can do the same.
