He did it because sometimes in our life it seems to be that if we humans are not pressured or has to bee forced on something before we will know that is not the right thing.
doing it diplomatic will have caused so many people in the temple to ague with Jesus.

Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town? Jesus leaving town will be like he is afriad of the elders and that afraid to be crucified and also that will be that the word of the Lord was not fulfiled.
