Why is it OK with God to pay the one who worked all day the same amount paid to the one who worked only an hour? God was OK paying the worker who worked all day the same as the one that worked with only an hour just to show us how it feels to be born again and also it was the kingdom of heaven that he was talking about to his people.
God was showing us that there are some of us that can hold their faith till the son of man come again and there are some that will accept Jesus in the later days of the coming of the son of man but we are all going to make it to the kingdom of heaven with the same motive and price tag.

Why did Jesus tell the rich man to sell all his possessions before coming to follow Him? Jesus was testing the faith of the rich man to see is he is really ready to follow him and work out his own salvation and also to show us that we should seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALL other things will be added to us.
On the other side Jesus said bird sleep in nest, foxes in holes, but the son of man has no where to put his head meaning the the rich who is young and energetic has to be without the riches before he can follow him.
