Bonus question: Why was the veil torn in two? "The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two" It was a sign that the mission of God had been accomplished.Again,it was to prove the sincerity of God's promise of sending His Son into this world save man from sin.Lastly, it was to proof that the only mediator between man and God was Jesus and so the veil had to be torn into two paving the way for man to see Him.
