Why did Jesus clear the temple in such a dramatic manner? Why did not he try to accomplish the same thing more diplomatically? Because he was upset that instead of the temple being used for prayer it was being used as a place of trading, cheating and stealing. Therefore, he could not handle the issue diplomatically, he had to apply force to accomplish the same thing.

Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die? For more emphasis. The disciples have been carried away by the fellowship they are having with Jesus. When He said it again even Peter was trying to talk Him out of it.
