Although there may be people who will be willing to pay the mondy for Jesus, He did not want to depend on others to provide for His needs.  He is the provider of the needs of others.  He also want to prove that it is good to work for whatever you need, and that He is the Lord of all.  He can use any means and method to meed our need.
