In what ways does the physical healings performed by Jesus in the path parallel the spiritual healings he performs on people today?

By studying and understanding the Scriptures which teaches about the physical healing that Jesus healed in His days can also transform ones life to a new one.Thatis if for example you have a headache and read the scripture about Simon's mother in-law healed by Jesus from headache,and really beleive that it happened and ask Jesus to do the same to you with faith you would be healed and that will mean that you are healed Spiritually thus paralleling the physical healing performed by Jesus.This is a true story that happened to me.Some times in 2008-2009 I had a sour throat which was bodering me.I had to treat it several times.One afternoon it had started again I decided to stawl to church and pray.When I got to church I discovered that there was going to be a Mass celebration.I asked what Mass it was and someone told me it was a healing Mass with Rev,Father Tsala.In the Mass this Priest requested that any body having a pain should place his or her hand where it was hurting.Each time he will read a gospel where Jesus had healed esp. the book of Mark and he will ask us to reapeat after him,Jesus if you want to please heal me.At the end of that Mass I got completely well and have never had a sour throat up til date.That is Spiritual healling based on the faith we have in Him.

Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him?

Jesus'answer to the Scripe was not that He didn't want him to follow Him,rather it was like a warning to let you know that following Him was not a bed of Roses but a tough task.Thus he the Scripe should not be supriesd if along the way following Jesus he meets with obstacles.As for the disciple Jesus wanted to et him know that to follow Him you must forget about self and seek Him as a prority.

Jesus, rebuked the disciples for being fearful. How should they have responsed to the storm?

The disciples given that they were with Jesus and had followed His teachings were not supposed to be afraid rather they were expected with what they had seen their Master done already,rebuked the storm in His name.That is why Jesus rebuked them for He thought they had faith.
