Why does God appreciate prayers in secret more than public prayers? it is because prayers are sacred.it is a communication medium between a person and God in heaven.moreover it shows the level of respect we have for God.

Why does God appreciate prayers in secret more than public prayers? Because it not a public show. ie wanting everybody to know that you are religious but praying in secret shows humility towards God.
