Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? His death and resucrection has brought peace to mankind so christians should be at peace to serve Him for He has paid the price.

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? His death and resurrection brought peace to mankind and he being the Prince of Peace wanted them to be at peace always in order to propagate the gospel.
