Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? To fulfill the prophesy as the son of the Messiah was chosen to die for mankind.

Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? He did not speak to them because he knows that they knew answers to the questions they were asking, their intentions, and were only looking for faults. However, the appointed time had come.
