Why do you think the priests, scribes, elders did not answer Jesus? They opposed the teachings of Jesus which they are very much aware of are without flaws. So by answering Jesus correctly it will be seen as double standards and hypocrisy in the eyes of the people that they mislead with their false teachings thereby incurring their wrath.

Why do you think the priests, scribes, elders did not answer Jesus? the priests are always there for opposition that is misinterprinting the words of jesus. *so he knows what they are up to
