Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? It is for the prophesy to come to live/pass/fulfilment that "but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chistisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" isa. 53v5
