Yes, Jesus Christ believe lowly people are valuable in the sense that He did not discrimate between the rich and the poor. He demostrated this by mixing and dinning with the poor. There was an instance in which several people were given so much as offering but Jesus Christ recognized the donation from a widow. Also He gave example that if you have a party it is better to invite those that are poor so that you will not have your reward.
