Why did Jesus ask his followers to pray for laborers instead of praying for a greater harvest? The laborers are few in the sence that christians that are spreading the word of God are few while the unbelivers are many. So we need to pray so that more soul will be wound for the kingdom of God.

Why did Jesus say, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God"? Here,I think Jesus was making referrence to death and life.Yes it is good to give the physically dead some sort of decent burial.but He wanted the man to go on an errand that is to say announcing the Kingdom of God that would bring spiritual life and salvation to many who were equally spiritually dead.So the lesson here is we should not compromise our time when it comes to seeking the Kingdom of God.
