Why did Jesus say, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God"? Jesus wants His disciples to forget about the past and face the future. Those who are dead have no need of the gospel. It is those who are alive. So He urged them to move ahead and preach to those who still need the good news

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? I learned that Jesus was born from a humble background and that only the parents knew that a great son of man was born and that he was the promise savior of the world.
