The Word is active and living,.... the Word discerns every thought between good and evil( Hebr 4:12). It is the Word that brings about the miracle of healing not vice versa.It is the Word that transforms and brings about victory. The Word is Jesus. It was necessary for the Word to be preached, as knowing the Word was knowing Jesus. Knowing Jesus equally is knowing His Name, and knowing His Name is knowing that at the mentioned of this Name, every knee must bow. God sent His beloved, so that we can know Him, believe in what He says and who He is so as to have eternal life, for there is no other by whom we can be saved except Christ Jesus. Why didn`t Jesus spend more time healing people?

How does Simon Peter feel about himself, and how does Jesus change that? Simon saw himself as a sinnner, but as he acknowledge his sinful state, Jesus changed him and comissioned him as a soul winner. Likewise if we acknowledge our sin Jesus is faithful, He will forgive us and accept us into His Kingdom.

How does Simon Peter feel about himself, and how does Jesus change that? After adherring to the advice of Jesus as to which direction he the net should be cast and when Peter sees the catch he feels he is so sinful that he asks Jesus to depart from him but Jesus changes that by assuring him that he will now be catching people alive.
