What is the role of the Holy Spirit during Jesus` challenge with the devil?

The role of the Holy Spirit during the challenge with the devil was to give Jesus wisdom, lead Jesus into the right understanding of the Word to apply it, to empower Jesus to be bold and to know the authority He has over the devil, to comfort and strengthen Him in His fasting against appetite and to give Him utterances to rebuke the devil to depart from Him.

The Holy Spirit guided Him not to fall as the first Adam did in the Garden of Eden.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the third Person in the Trinity in whose dispensation we now live.

He is our Counsellor, Teacher, Intercessor, Comforter, and the one who gives us utterances when we are confronted with what to say.

He gives us understanding, power, wisdom, knowledge and He blesses us with gifts as He wills.
