Joseph from the town of Arimathaea was a wealthy Jewish religious leader. What risk did he take and why was he willing to do this? Note: Isaiah 53:9 - "And they made His grave with the wicked, But with the rich at His death." As a prominent member of the council, he had a risk of loosing his position, status, and respect. This request must have made his secret discipleship open. But it is to fulfil the gosple.

Joseph from the town of Arimathaea was a wealthy Jewish religious leader. What risk did he take and why was he willing to do this? Note: Isaiah 53:9 - "And they made His grave with the wicked, But with the rich at His death." It was to fulfill the prophecy. Jesus' death and burial were already foretold. God had already prepared Joseph from the town of Arimathea to bury him in his expensive tomb since he himself was a secret follower of Jesus that was why Joseph from Arimathea took the risk by approaching Pilate to bury Jesus.
