Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. The hour of death came upon him he cry due to the suffering of our sins,God could not behold him at that particular time before he turn his face again to him.

Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. Jesus cried out at this point because with human body being malhandled because of our sins, he felt it and had to call on the father. This is human, and goes to teach us that whenever we experience pains or sorrow, both physical and spiritual, we should call on God.
