Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. Jesus suffered for our sins as a result God turned his back on him. He felt so alone and this showed his human side. He needed the Father so much that he had to call out for his support.
