He used this challenge to teach them to have love and compassion for people.And also to show that that God was capable of "feeding" His followers. Why did Jesus challenge the disciples to "give them (5000 people) something to eat" before multiplying the food?

In the middle of extreme busyness, Jesus departed to a mountain to pray. What do you learn from Jesus` example? This regular practice of Jesus: to take time off to go and pray in isolatation shows the need to create time for God.No matter how busy we are,we should alwys be able to pray without distractions to our Lord.

Jesus listed specific things (which come from the heart) that makes one unclean. Do you recognize any of these in your own heart? As a christian one struggles daily with so many contending issues. Sadly the things of this world are so packaged as to "try" our faith and religious beliefs.I think one of the biggest things today is "sexuality" which pervades every aspect of our daily lives.A high percentage of advertisements are based on "sex sells".
