Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"?

It means Jesus was telling the desciples that they should be ready to lay down their lives as His followers.If they choose to leave Him out of fear of loosing their lives,then they will miss eternity.Howver,if they were to follow Him,they would loose their lives on earth,but will live eternally in the Kingdom.

The same applies to us as Christians today.When accept Jesus as lord and saviour,we may face persection in the world,bot gain eternal life after death.But if we deny Jesus,then we may have worldy enjoyment and acceptance,but we loose eternal life.

What was Jesus trying to teach the disciples? Note: Jesus left twelve baskets full when he fed the 5000 people on the Israel side (Israel had 12 main regions or tribes).

Jesus is reminding them to know the differences between the food which they were fed by pharises and what He, Jesus fed them with which is spiritual food. Hew also want them to know that the Israelise were on nation before they were divided into twelve tribes. Either one nation or Twelve, Christ make them to understand God will stand forever. And there is nothing impossible for Him to do.

Why do you think Jesus brought the man outside the village before performing the miracle?

Christ did that to show that one can receive his/her miracle wherever one may be. And again, Jesus also do that to avoid the crowd.
